Dropout decision of students in the Dutch secondary education.

Start date: 06 augustus 2009

We contribute to the growing literature on school dropout and dropout prevention by empirically testing: (1) which students drop out of school; (2) what influences their dropout decision; (3) what potentially can determine the difference in dropout rates between schools, regions, and countries; and (4) we thoroughly analyze the effectiveness of the government response.
