Research question: In this project we evaluate the effectiveness of interventions to improve student success in higher education. Method: interventions to reduce drop-out and increase student success are developed and implemented at the University of Applied Sciences of Amsterdam. These interventions are based on three determinants of student success: i.e. social integration, academic integration and alignment with individual student characteristics. Starting point of development and implementation of the interventions is an integral approach, which is assumed to increase support and commitment and therefore to enhance effectiveness. This study investigates the effectiveness of the interventions regarding student success and drop -out rate, taken into account that not all students are alike, nor are faculties. Status: At this moment we are collecting the data needed for this project.
